Colombian actress Dora Cadavid(84) remembered for her role as “Inesita” in the telenovela “Yo soy Betty, la fea”, died on Monday in a clinic in Bogotá at the age of 84, her relatives confirmed to local media. Cadavid had forged an artistic career of almost 60 years, so he was one of the best known personalities on the small screen.
Although her career is long, the role for which she is most remembered is that of ‘Inesita’, ‘Yo soy Betty, la Fea’ that was broadcast in 1999 in Colombia and after its success was distributed in more than 180 countries and is currently one of the most watched productions on Netflix.
Among the most recent novels of which Dora Cadavid was a part, are ‘La Teacher de inglés’, ‘A corazón abierto’, ‘El man es Germán’, ‘Los graduados’ and ‘La niña’, but her last appearance was in the series ‘La ley del corazón’ broadcast in 2017.
Dora Cadavid was born on November 23, 1937 in the city of Medellín. His death was due to causes associated with a complicated lung condition.
In one of the last interviews she gave, she explained the reasons that led her to reside in a nursing home. “My nieces were worried that I would live alone and one with age should not be alone anywhere, and I don’t want to be a burden to anyone,” she told the program I know everything.
