Kixstar Has Passed Away- What Happened With Him

Kixstar death

Rainbow Six Siege North American color commentator Michael “KiXSTaR” Stockley died on Monday, Oct 11, according to an announcement from his family shared by fellow commentator Parker “Interro” Mackay on Twitter today.

Stockley was 24 and a longtime member of the R6 esports community. He played under Team Orbit’s banner in 2016 and transitioned to broadcast talent later that year in October. His first event as a commentator was the R6 Pro League year one season three. Stockley cast the Six Invitational and the Six Mexico Major this year and was a part of the North American League broadcast.

What Happened With Him

KiXSTar started his esports career as a pro player in Rainbow Six Siege with Team Orbit in 2016, before transitioning to color commentary in 2019. He won an Esports Awards color commentator in 2020 and was nominated again in 2021. Voting for the 2021 awards is currently ongoing.

His loss will leave a gaping gap in the FPS community, both in Rainbow Six Siege, where he grew in prominence, as well as in VALORANT, where he has recently worked on.

Stockley’s cause of death is currently unknown.
