The singer of boleros and regional Mexican music Yrma Lydya Gamboa was murdered by her partner on Thursday night at the Suntory restaurant in Colonia del Valle. The actress and dancer – with more than eleven years of experience in the music industry – who was on tour as a guest on the GranDiosas show, died after receiving three bullets after an argument.
Yrma Lydya Has Shot Dead
The alleged perpetrator was identified by the Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office as Jesús Hernández Alcocer, 79 years old and alleged sentimental partner of the young woman. According to a report by the authorities, the subject was arrested and transferred to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of the Crime of Feminicide.
On the night of Thursday, June 23, the artist was shot dead by her husband, 58 years older than her. The homicide occurred in the private area of a luxurious restaurant located in the Del Valle neighborhood, at approximately 9:00 p.m.
